On 8 th May 2008, The Ministry of Finance held the Memorandom Signing Ceremony to recieve salary through the bank between 17 parts, included Ministries and organizations, and BCEL. The ceremoney was honoured attending by Mr. Sonexay Sitphaxay General Director of BCEL , Representatives from each part, BCEL’s Board of Management, Head of Divisions, Head of Centers and the guest from 17 parts. |

In the Morning of 11th April 2008, BCEL has officialy held the opening ceremoney of BCEL newly constructed building. The ceremony was participated by the Governor of the Bank of Lao P.D.R , Mr. Phouphet Khamphounvong ; General Director of BCEL , Mr. Sonexay Sitphaxay ; BCEL’s Board of Management ; Director of other Commercial Banks ; invited guests and BCEL officials. |

BCEL has new completed the installation of a new ATM located in front of Ministry of finance's building. For this event, there was an agreement signed bathes the MOF and BCEL to pay salary of MOF's staff via the bank's system. |
